Why do you need to test and tag your new equipment?
The responsible person for premises equipment is the person who is responsible for ensuring that the appliance is safe for use in the workplace. The test and tag providers should have sufficient knowledge of AS/NZS 3760 and insurance. Newly purchased appliances do not need to be tested, however, they must be tagged to indicate that they need to be tested in the future.
