Jim’s Test & Tag is always a keen supporter of promoting safety in the community. Earlier this year, two of our franchisors, Bruce and Michael of Gippsland and Melbourne South East sponsored the Woolamai Beach SLSC Nippers Surf Lifesaving Program for 2015/16.The program provides an introduction to the surf lifesaving movement to keen young surf enthusiasts. It also encourages children to interact and socialise whilst nurturing their water safety and survival skills.

The Nippers Program recruits over 10,000 young Victorians between the ages of 6-13 across the state. It’s one of the most affordable lifesaving programs in Victoria.
The 2015/16 session was a 7-day summer program held predominantly at Woolamai Waters at the end of Cottosloe Avenue, Cape Woolamai. Participating children were involved in physical activities, rescue demonstrations, and environmental issue awareness amongst other things. Parents also contributed their efforts to the program.
The program also offers an opportunity for children aged 13-15 to partake in the Surf Rescue Certificate program.
